What Is the Trojan War?
The Trojan War was a War that lasted for ten whole years! In Greek mythology, it is said that it all started when Paris of Troy took Helen form her husband, Menelaus, king of Sparta.
The Story Of The Trojan War
The war originated from a quarrel between three of the Goddesses, Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite, after Eris the Goddess of strife and discord, gave to them the golden apple. Also known as the apple of Discord, marked "The Fairest Of Them All" (as seen in the picture above . Zeus, god of Olympus "Father Of The Gods", sent them to Paris, who judged them, he made Aphrodite the Fairest, who then received the apple.
Aphrodite made Helen, the most beautiful women and wife of Menelaus, fall in love with Paris, who brought her to Troy. Agamemnon the brother of Menelaus, Helen's husband charged the city of Troy and attacked for ten years.
